Therapist

Jayme Albin LCSW

Accepting New Clients for Therapy

I’m excited to bring my 14 years of diverse social work experience to Roadways to Recovery. Initially attending Purdue for pharmacy, I was quickly drawn instead to psychology, behavioral neuroscience, and philosophy. I have not always been a therapist, instead starting my career working directly in homes and schools with families living in poverty, involved with DCS, struggling with mental health and addiction issues, with both victims and perpetrators of abuse.

After receiving my Master of Social Work degree from IU, I gained experience as a counselor in community mental health, in an inpatient psychiatric unit, as well as in medical social work. I am EMDR trained and working towards my EMDR certification. I live in Southern Indiana with my husband, step-children, pets and houseful of plants, records, books, crafts.

“The root of all health is in the brain. The trunk of it is in emotion. The branches and leaves are the body. The flower of health blooms when all parts work together.”
